So yeah, I’ve been nominated for The Liebster award by the ultra epic sexual leviathan that is Bill Meeker. Thanks mate! You can check out his action right here. Frisco Kid at the Movies
I’m not sure what a Liebster is. It sounds German, I hope it doesn’t mean tosser or arse brain or something and this is all a big joke. Nah, I trust Bill wouldn’t do such a cruel, yet genius thing to a fellow film blogger. Anyway, after some research I’ve discovered many people are up for this award, with a lot of them getting about three nominations… Well whatever, Bill Meeker knows the score!
Anyway, I believe this picture..
..is a necessity for this post to make it all official and stuff. Look at it, isn’t it snazzy? Well there’s more rules for us to follow so here it goes.
There’s no obligation to participate, and a money-back guarantee if you’re not completely satisfied by this nomination.
Oh, I thought I had to do this, oh well, it’s too late to back out now.
The bloggers who have been nominated must link back to the person that nominated them.
Done. Seriously though, do check out his blog.
Nominees must answer the eleven questions given to them by the person who nominated them.
1. What angers you the most when watching a movie in theaters?
I genuinely dislike most people so I’d say people… and the chairs.
2. What do you love about watching movies in theaters?
The massive screen I suppose, and not having to worry about the sound levels.
3. Name a movie you never want to watch. Ever.
“Mondo Homo : A Study of French Gay Porn in the 70’s” (2013)
4. Name a movie you’re ashamed you haven’t seen yet.
Ingmar Bergman’s “Fanny and Alexander” (1982). I couldn’t get past the party scene at the start and I’m very ashamed.
5. Favorite weekend hangout?
The Titty Twister.
6. Favorite band or music artist for the past week?
I only really listen to Japanese industrial noise these days, so Merzbow.
7. 3D. Yay or Nay?
Nay. I won’t be satisfied until I see a large holographic Lou Diamond Phillips running around my TV room.
8. Name a movie you wish you could have been on the set while it was filming.
“The Wicker Man” (1973) for no other reason than I love the film and study it beyond obsession… Actually, I’ll choose “The Wicker Man” (2006) just to tell everyone what a massive mistake they’re making, possibly to the point of throwing rocks and generally sabotaging it. Either those or any Jenna Jameson film for different reasons.
9. How do you stream movies (Computer, Blu-ray Player, Game Consoles like PS4 and Wii)?
10. What are your top five favorite movie podcasts to listen to?
I honestly can’t think of another one now.. My favourite colour is black. (bonus fact)
11. Who is your movie celebrity crush? You have to answer for both guys and girls.
Guy, probably Sir Lawrence Olivier. He knew how to treat a lady. Girl, well it specifically says celebrity, and I’m the kind of person that will fall in love with a passing extra. I dunno, off the top of my head.. The wonderful Greta Gerwig.
Anyway, on we go with the rules.
Those nominated must choose eleven of their favorite bloggers who have less than 200 followers to answer their own set of questions.
What’s this obsession with the number eleven? It’s a bit random isn’t it? Anyway, I don’t think there’s anyway I can find out how many followers you’ve all got, and if there is then I don’t know how, so if I nominate you and you have more than 200 followers, keep it on the down low and we might get away with it.
So there you go. If this is a mere annoyance to you then just ignore it, but I’ve nominated you all through love.. just remember that… Hang on, there’s one more rule.
When you are nominated, you cannot nominate the person who nominated you.
I didn’t… I bloody didn’t!
Well that’s it, one more big thanks to Bill Meeker who has genuinely made my week with this nomination, and thanks to everyone on my list for being down right ridiculously amazing and making this whole thing worth doing. Check out each other’s blogs, possibly follow each other. We can even start a gang and we can take over! Victory will be ours!
